Hello, I'm Alan de la Costa, the founder and lead photographer behind LA COSTA PHOTO, a luxury destination wedding photography brand based in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
For more than 10 years, I have specialized in documenting destination weddings, intimate celebrations, luxury events, elopements, and lifestyle sessions throughout Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita, Punta Mita, San Pancho, Riviera Nayarit, and some of Mexico's most beautiful wedding destinations.
My photography journey includes over a decade of experience working alongside internationally recognized wedding photographers like a Tom Moks, documenting weddings for couples traveling from the United States, Japan & Europe, This experience has allowed me to photograph weddings in a wide variety of venues, cultures, and destinations while developing a storytelling approach focused on authentic emotion and timeless imagery.
Today, I work primarily with couples planning destination weddings in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit. Many of my clients are traveling from the United States and Canada to celebrate their wedding in Mexico and are looking for a photographer who understands both the local wedding industry and the expectations of international couples.
My photography style combines natural light, documentary storytelling, and elegant portraiture. Rather than creating overly posed images, I focus on capturing genuine moments, meaningful connections, and the unique atmosphere of each wedding day. My goal is to create photographs that feel timeless, emotional, and authentic for generations to come.
